At about 10 a.m. on Feb. 14, a person in the Target parking lot was approached by a male subject who falsely identified himself as a police officer with the Spring Hill Police Department.
The subject was described as Asian, 5’7” to 5’9” tall, wearing a black “hoodie,” black pants, and a black shirt. The subject had a freckle on his left cheek, near his eye. The subject was driving what appeared to be a gray, newer-model Ford Focus four-door hatchback.
The suspect told the victim that the victim “fit the description of a suspect that robbed the Sherwin Williams” in Spring Hill. The suspect asked for the victim’s driver’s license; the victim displayed the license but the suspect did nothing with it. The suspect did not display any type of police ID, badge, or insignia. The suspect vehicle is shown above.
