Today, May 15th, 2020, is National Peace Officers Memorial Day.  Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, services were cancelled.

Across our country,  146 law enforcement officers died in the line of duty in 2019.

In 2019, eight law enforcement officers from across the State of Tennessee died in the line of duty, they are:

Master Patrol Officer Spencer Daniel Bristol

Deputy Sheriff Stephen Michael Reece

Sergeant Joseph Brian Montijo

Correctional Administrator Debra Kay Porter-Johnson

Police Officer John Ralph Anderson, IV

Trooper Matthew Elias Gatti

Sergeant Steven Billie Hinkle

Police Officer Nicholas Scott Galinger

The Spring Hill Police Department also remembers and honors one of our own, Corporal Jeremy McLaren.   Corporal McLaren was involved in a vehicular crash while on duty and tragically lost his life on February 7th, 2010.

At this time, Please take a moment with the Spring Hill Police Department, to remember and honor all law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.  May God bless the fallen officers, their families, departments and our Country.

Thank you,

Chief Don Brite and the Spring Hill Police Department.
