Brian “Dawson” Smith (may also wear glasses)

Brian “Dawson” Smith is wanted on multiple counts of rape of a child, especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, sexual exploitation of a minor, and aggravated unlawful photography. Smith is 6’0″ and weighs approximately 170 pounds, he has blue eyes and strawberry blond hair. Smith also wears glasses. Portion of US Highway 31 Named After Fallen Spring Hill Officer

Today we take time to remember those who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001. At the Spring Hill Police Department we also remember Corporal Jeremy McLaren who lost his life over 10 years ago due to complications from an on-duty traffic collision he was involved in. To honor him, a portion of US Highway 31, State Route 6 will be renamed “Corporal Jeremy McLaren Memorial Highway.” Thank you for your service to this community Corporal McLaren.

Dollar General Shoplifting Investigation

The subject in the image above allegedly took laundry detergent from Dollar General in Spring Hill on August 20, 2020. The subject placed 8 bottles of Gain detergent in his pants and walked out of the store. If you can identify this person submit an anonymous tip here.

Stolen Package from Home in the Winter Park Subdivision

The SHPD is investigating a stolen package off of a porch of a home in the Winter Park Subdivision off of Duplex Rd. This incident occurred Thursday morning. The suspect vehicle is a grey four-door sedan. There may be other packages missing. If you believe that your package was stolen please report it to our dispatch center at 931-486-2632.
