The annual Spring Hill Christmas Parade will start at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8. Please note the parade route has changed from previous years: The parade will enter Main Street from Spring Hill Elementary School and head north on Main to the First Baptist Church parking lot. There will be food trucks in front of the Tennessee Children’s Home on Main Street from 2 to 7 p.m. The parade is expected to end at about 7 p.m. Main Street will remain closed until we can ensure the safety of pedestrians along the parade route.
ROAD CLOSURES:
2 p.m. – Main Street from Kedron Road to just south of Beechcroft Road. will be closed at 2 p.m. The intersection of Beechcroft/Duplex Road and Main will remain OPEN until 4:45 p.m.
4:45 p.m. – Main Street from Kedron to just south of Miles Johnson Parkway will close at 4:45 p.m.
Main Street will remain closed until it is deemed safe to reopen Main after pedestrian traffic is cleared.
PARKING:
Parking for this event will be in a grass field behind the Children’s Home. Entry for this parking area will be on Kedron Road. Exit for the north area of the parking lot will be to Elm Street. Exit for the south area of the parking lot will be Kedron Road.
PICKUP AREA FOR CHILDREN WALKING IN THE PARADE:
If you are picking up children who walked in the parade, please go to the parking lot of the First Baptist Church. You can park at Harvey Park and there will be a path to the church parking lot. If you park at the First Baptist Church parking lot, you WILL NOT be allowed to leave until after the parade is over due to the Main Street closure. If you park at Harvey Park, you CAN leave at any time.
PARADE BYPASS:
If you are coming from the south and need to go to the north side of Spring Hill on Main Street:
- Take Main to Saturn Parkway, exit to Kedron Road and turn onto Old Kedron Road to Hughes St to Duplex Rd to Miles Johnson Pkwy then to Main Street
- If you are coming from the north on Main, just reverse those directions.
