Four Juveniles Arrested in Two Seperate Incidents Overnight

The SHPD last night and early this morning responded to several incidents involving juveniles. A caller reported that he observed a male steal his Chevy Malibu from his driveway on Alex Drive. There was another male with him who fled on foot when the other subject left in his vehicle. Officers located the vehicle parked at Kroger on Port Royal Road and observed a subject walking to it. This subject was detained and also admitted to shoplifting from Kroger. The other subject who was with him during the stealing of the car also was located. Both subjects were juveniles, ages 14 and 15, who had ran away from the Tennessee Children’s Home. Both were taken to the Maury County Juvenile Detention Center.  The juveniles also admitted to sneaking out multiple times prior from the Children’s Home and stealing items from vehicles. The juveniles stated that they had keys from said burglaries. Staff at the Children’s Home conducted a search and did locate some keys. These keys have been logged into the SHPD property room.

At 2:50 a.m., officers responded to Southeast Vapors for an alarm call. Officers observed that the door glass had been shattered and a paver stone inside. An employee responded to the scene and reported that nothing was taken.  A short time later, a theft report from the north Shell gas station on Main Street was reported. Officers located two juveniles matching the description of the suspects. They are 17 and 16 years old. The juveniles admitted to the burglary at Southeast Vapors and also stealing from the Shell station. They were charged with the following: burglary, shoplifting, underage possession of alcohol, possession of tobacco, and curfew violation. Both juveniles were taken to the Williamson County Juvenile Detention Center.
