There will be a drug take-back event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 26 at Elite Physical Therapy, at 5290 Main St., in Spring Hill. The following items will be accepted: prescription medication, all over-the-counter medication, pet medications, medicated ointment, lotions, drops, liquid medications in leak proof containers, inhalers, and pills in any packaging, including glass, plastic container, baggie or foil.
The following will NOT be accepted: Illegal drugs/narcotics, needles/sharps or syringes with needles, blood sugar equipment, thermometers, IV bags, bloody or infectious waste, personal care products (shampoo, etc.).
The SHPD has a drug take back drop-off box that is accessible 24/7 in the lower level of City Hall located at 199 Town Center Pkwy.
