Vehicle Stolen at RaceTrac Gas Station Recovered in Bedford County

On October 10th at 3:40 PM SHPD officers responded to the Tennessee Children’s Home to assist in looking for two juveniles that fled on foot. Officers saturated the area but were unable to locate the two missing juveniles.

At 8:30 PM on the same date officers responded to 1060 Crossings Blvd. (RaceTrac) to a report of a stolen vehicle. The owner stated that while parked at the gas station, her vehicle was stolen. The vehicle was entered into a national database as a stolen vehicle.

On October 11th, the SHPD was notified that the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) had located the stolen vehicle unoccupied in Bedford County.

Based on video surveillance footage from RaceTrac two persons matching the clothing/physical descriptions of the run-away juveniles entered the vehicle at RaceTrac and left in that vehicle. The investigation is still on-going at this time. The juveniles from the Children’s Home had not been located.
