Update October 27th- On October 26th, SHPD detectives arrested Simon Tanner, 19 years old, of Franklin. Tanner was charged with two counts of reckless endangerment for firing a weapon into a habitation. Detectives are working with the 22nd District Attorney General’s Office, and more/additional charges may be pending upon their review of the case.
All persons arrested enjoy the presumption of innocence until proven guilty in a court of law.
Spring Hill, TN – On October 22nd, SHPD officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Ruben Road to a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, the subjects involved in the shooting had fled the scene. During this incident, two houses were struck by bullets. Thankfully, no one inside either home was injured. Officers and detectives worked quickly to collect evidence at the scene. Detectives were able to identify and interview some of the persons involved in the incident. The investigation to this point shows that several subjects met on Ruben Road for an illicit purpose. For reasons that are still under investigation, this meeting escalated to the point where one subject fired in the direction of others, resulting in the houses getting hit by gunfire. The investigation into this matter is still active and ongoing.
