Spring Hill, TN – The SHPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying the above individual who allegedly stole $400 worth of gas from the BP station in the 3500 block of Kedron Rd. On December 1st, this person used a fraudulent card to purchase to fill up two Penske trucks with gas. Spring Hill, TN – The Franklin Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying the person responsible for stealing a truck in Franklin on November 14th. Spring Hill, TN – In the early morning of November 12th, an unidentified person entered Hilltown Laundry and pried open a coin machine where approximately $1000 in coins were taken. The person was a passenger in a newer model gray Nissan SUV. Spring Hill, TN – On Friday, October 27th at 10 PM, SHPD officers were dispatched to the 3500 block of Kedron Road to report of a truck that left the roadway and struck two vehicles that were parked in the yard at a home. After hitting the two vehicles, the truck fled, and headed towards Saturn Parkway on Kedron Road. The truck is described as a white Ford F-250. One of the vehicles struck was red. Spring Hill, TN – The SHPD is proud to announce the promotion of nine SHPD officers: one to the rank of captain, three to the rank of lieutenant, four to the rank of sergeant, and one to the rank of detective. These promotions will be effective October 30th to fill vacancies across all three Department divisions. The Department congratulates each of these officers on their hard work and dedication. Captain Justin Whitwell is a 19-year veteran of the SHPD. He will be assigned to lead the Field Operations Division.
Lieutenant Tommy Barber is an 18-year veteran of the SHPD. He will be assigned to lead the D patrol shift.
Lieutenant Geoff Betts is a 17-year veteran of the SHPD. He will be assigned to lead the B patrol shift.
Lieutenant Chad Estes is a four-year veteran of the SHPD. He will be assigned to lead the C patrol shift.
Sergeant Curtis Floyd is a six-year veteran of the SHPD. He will be assigned to the Support Services Division.
Sergeant Meaghan O’Leary is a six-year veteran of the SHPD. She will be assigned to the Field Operations Division.
Sergeant Lee Colvett is a two-year veteran of the SHPD. He will be assigned to the Field Operations Division.
Sergeant Daniel Willis is a two-year veteran of the SHPD. He will be assigned to the Field Operations Division.
Detective Jonathan Tiller is a two-year veteran of the SHPD. He will be assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division.
Update October 27th- On October 26th, SHPD detectives arrested Simon Tanner, 19 years old, of Franklin. Tanner was charged with two counts of reckless endangerment for firing a weapon into a habitation. Detectives are working with the 22nd District Attorney General’s Office, and more/additional charges may be pending upon their review of the case.
All persons arrested enjoy the presumption of innocence until proven guilty in a court of law.
Spring Hill, TN – On October 22nd, SHPD officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Ruben Road to a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, the subjects involved in the shooting had fled the scene. During this incident, two houses were struck by bullets. Thankfully, no one inside either home was injured. Officers and detectives worked quickly to collect evidence at the scene. Detectives were able to identify and interview some of the persons involved in the incident. The investigation to this point shows that several subjects met on Ruben Road for an illicit purpose. For reasons that are still under investigation, this meeting escalated to the point where one subject fired in the direction of others, resulting in the houses getting hit by gunfire. The investigation into this matter is still active and ongoing.
